MR286 (LDAC) USB-C Bluetooth Audio Transmitter User Manual

ClassificationBluetooth Transmitter 1450 0

The MR286 is a Bluetooth 6.0 audio transmitter. It connects to devices such as computers and smartphones via a USB-C interface, wirelessly transmitting audio signals to Bluetooth receivers like speakers and headphones. It supports multiple Bluetooth audio codecs:
**LDAC, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, aptX, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, SBC, and AAC**.

Bluetooth codec compatibility is determined by both devices — your receiving device (e.g., Bluetooth headphones) must also support the same high-quality codec for it to be automatically enabled. The device supports **dual connection (1-to-2)** functionality, allowing simultaneous pairing with two receiving devices. *(Note: High-bitrate codecs such as LDAC and aptX Lossless do not support dual connection mode.)*

**Interface Overview:**

**1. LED Indicator Definitions**

**2. Functional Operations**

– **Power On:**
Insert the device into a USB-C port on your computer or smartphone. The device will power on automatically.

– **Enter Pairing Mode:**
Double-click the function button. The LED will indicate pairing mode (typically flashing).
Then, enable pairing mode on your receiving device (headphones, speaker), place it near the transmitter, and wait a few seconds for pairing to complete.

– **Auto-Reconnection Mode:**
When plugged into a USB-C port, the device automatically powers on and searches for previously paired devices to reconnect.
If reconnection fails within 30 seconds, repeat the initial pairing process.

**Dual Connection (1-to-2) Function**
The MR286 supports connecting to two Bluetooth audio devices simultaneously.
To use this feature:
1. Pair the first device as described above.
2. After successful pairing, double-click the function button again to re-enter pairing mode.
3. Pair the second device.

Once both devices are connected, audio will be transmitted to both simultaneously.
**Note:** Due to bandwidth limitations, high-bitrate codecs such as **LDAC** and **aptX Lossless** are **not supported** in dual-connection mode. The system will automatically downgrade to a compatible codec (e.g., SBC or AAC) when two devices are connected.

**Important Notes:**

– Bluetooth codec support is mutual — both the transmitter and receiving device must support the same codec (e.g., LDAC, aptX Lossless) for high-quality audio transmission. The highest available common codec will be used automatically.
– If you encounter connection issues, press and hold the function button for 10 seconds to reset the device to factory settings.
– The device draws power via the USB-C port, which will consume your host device’s (phone/computer) battery.
– Before use, lower the system volume to avoid sudden loud audio that may damage hearing.
– Slight heating during operation is normal.
– Supported audio codecs depend on the receiving device — different headphones or speakers may support different codecs.
– Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the device yourself.
– The device is **not waterproof** — handle with care and avoid exposure to moisture.

**Troubleshooting Tips**

– **No sound?** Ensure the receiving device is properly paired and selected as the audio output in your system settings.
– **Only one device connected?** Make sure the second device is within range and in pairing mode when entering dual-pairing sequence.
– **Codec not showing as LDAC or aptX?** Confirm that your receiving device supports the desired codec. Check device specifications or audio settings.
– **Frequent disconnections?** Avoid interference from Wi-Fi routers, microwaves, or other wireless devices. Keep the transmitter unobstructed.

For optimal performance, keep the transmitter clear of metal surfaces and ensure a stable USB-C connection.
